Long-arm quilting machines offer precision and control when it comes to quilting your patchwork pieces, so we're handing the reins over to you! With our Q-Hire program, you'll learn how to operate a Bernina Q series long-arm machine to #quirkyquilt your quilt top. We also offer Q-servicing for Bernina Q series owners as accredited Q Series technicians.
Meet Rose & Rhonda
Named after two quirky regulars that always shop together, and who happened to walk in right as the team was trying to decide on names for the new machines
Rose is a Bernina Q20 machine on a 10ft studio frame. She's designed for fluid free motion quilting and pantograph quilting. She can quilt up to 100 inches and is perfect for getting bigger projects quilted with ease.

Rhonda is a Q20 sitting on the Q Series Lift Table and is a powered height-adjustable table with an integrated power strip. The working height is individually adjustable and can be saved in four different positions. The side leaves provide quilters the extra table space needed to quilt the largest quilt projects.
Orientation
We all have to start by nailing the basics
We've designed an orientation class to get you familiar with Rose & Rhonda. You'll have to complete this class before booking in to hire them. Our team are Bernina certified when it comes to the Q machines; they'll take you through everything you need to know to quilt with confidence and the best part is: once you've completed this orientation you can hire the machines at your leisure!
Q20 Basic Orientation
The gateway into our longarm hire program!
This is a hands on orientation of the Bernina Q20 on both a sit down table and a 10 ft studio frame. You will get maximum hands on time and learn all you need to know to get started on your longarm journey; from loading your quilt onto the frame, to basic free motion quilting techniques. Plus, once you’ve completed the basic Q20 Orientation class you are invited to hire a long arm machine and get all your own quilt tops made into quilts!

Our hiring process gives you the flexibility and freedom to quilt your projects at your own pace. Bookings are available for 3-6 hour sessions every day that the shop is open, and there's no need to book consecutive days. Booking a Q-hire session is as easy as popping in to the store, or calling us to secure your spot!
